Fiber laser cutting machines. These are the workhorses for metal. They cut carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, titanium, and galvanized steel. Fiber lasers handle reflective metals better than CO2 lasers. Common thickness ranges from 0.5mm to 20mm for stainless steel.
CO2 laser cutting machines. These are better for non-metals. They cut wood, acrylic, leather, textiles, glass, and certain plastics. CO2 lasers are also used for engraving.
What about your material? If you cut metal, choose fiber. If you cut non-metal or mixed materials, consider CO2.
